Who we are
Established in 1965 in the heart of Kharposh, the Youth Welfare Committee is more than an organization; it's a commitment to uplift the underprivileged and bring positive change to the tribal villages of the Singhbhum District. Originally known as "Yuwak Sangh," our journey began with a vision — a vision to bridge the gaps in education, environment, healthcare, and communication in the remote tribal areas.
Formed by a group of passionate and innovative youth, we took our first steps towards change in a region that craved development. In 1985, on the occasion of the Youth Year, we rebranded ourselves as the "Youth Welfare Committee," signifying our dedication to the holistic well-being of the community.
